Following cataract surgery, clouding of the natural lens cover occurs in about 25% of patients. If the cloudiness affects your vision, you may choose to have YAG Laser Capsulotomy.
The laser is used to create a hole in the clouded back lining of the lens capsule to allow light to properly pass through to the back of the eye. It is a painless, outpatient procedure which does not require anesthesia.
